Association France Vivipares: 
The AFV, French livebearer association, was born in 1987. Its main objective is to promote the knowledge about live bearing fishes within the French aquarist hobby. It is structured in two strong currents: - the guppy side, with all the theme of strains selection and international shows. - The wild forms, with a strong will of species preservation. Within the AFV, all the wild form strains are documented, with a collection date and location or, if missing, with a strain code to facilitate the fish identification and data exchange. Exchanges between members are also registered in the aim to follow the species diffusion and filiations.
