Je suis né en 1972 près de Paris. Depuis tout petit je suis passionné par les vivipares et les poissons en général. J'ai étudié l'ichthyologie dans une Université parisienne et en 1998 j'ai terminé un doctorat traitant du développement des larves de poissons marins en Manche et Mer du nord. Actuellement je suis statisticien pour le gouvernement d'Andorre. Je fus parmi les fondateurs de l'AFV, en 1987. Je suis actuellement membre du comité de rédaction de l'association et vice président en charge des formes naturelles, après de nombreuses années passées comme trésorier. J'adore les Goodeidés que je maintiens pour certaines souches depuis plus de 10 ans, comme les Xenotoca sp. "San Marcos est" et les Allotoca dugesii "Colonia Guadalupe" depuis 2000 ou les Skiffia bilineata "Colonia Guadalupe" et les Chapalichthys encaustus "Lago de chapala" depuis 2001.
I have born in 1972 near Paris. Since I am 9 years old I am passionate by live bearer fishes. I studied ichtyology at Paris University and get a doctorate about marine larval fish development in 1998. I am now working as demography statistician for the Andorran government. I was from the founders of the AFV in 1987, even if I was a child, after some years as treasurer I am actually in the redaction board and vice-chairmen of the association, in charge of the wild form part of the association. I am fond of Goodeids and I breed some for more than ten years, as Xenotoca sp. "San Marcos est" and Allotoca dugesii "Colonia Guadalupe" since 2000 ou les Skiffia bilineata "Colonia Guadalupe" and Chapalichthys encaustus "Lago de chapala" since 2001.

je suis passionné d'aquariophilie depuis mon plus jeune age et, selon ma mère, j'ai appris à lire avec un livre d'aquariophilie. Depuis cette époque ma passion pour les poissons d'aquarium n'a fait que grandir. Depuis le début des années 1990 je suis membre de l'AFV où je suis attiré autant par les formes de sélection que les formes naturelles et parmi elles les Goodeidae. Actuellement j'élève Chapalichthys encaustus (depuis 2001), Zoogoneticus tequila (2000), Characodon lateralis "los Berros", Characodon sp" Guadalupe aguilera", Allodontichthys zonistius "arroyo de Ahuacapan, Jalisco 2004", Crenichthys baileyi. J'apprécie également les killis, les labyrinthidae ou les Characidae...

I'm fond of fishes and aquariums since my first years...my mother allways said that i've learnt to read with a book of aquarium fishes. I still own this book in my library ! Since that date my passion for fishes never stop growing. Since the beginning of the 90's i'm a member of the french livebearer association. I'm attract with breeding forms like natural forms and among these the Goodeids. Actually i 'm breeding Chapalichthys encaustus (since 2001, the strain brought back by Grigri from lake Chapala), Zoogoneticus tequila (bought in Germany in 2000), Characodon lateralis "los Berros" (bought in England in 1992), Characodon sp "Guadalupe aguilera", Allodontichthys zonistius "arroyo Ahuacapan, Jalisco 2004", Crenichthys baileyi. I appreciate too Killifishes, labyrinth fishes and characidae.

Mon prénom est Sybille
Bonjour, je m'apelle Sybille, j'ai 39 ans.
Depuis toujours j'aime la nature, les rivières, les animaux, au milieu desquels j'ai grandi. Ecologiste convaincue et végétarienne depuis 23 ans, je milite contre les tests des cosmétiques sur les animaux, et l'utilisation en masse de substances nocives qui polluent les eaux tel que l'EDTA ou les nanoparticules.
J'ai fait des études de biologie et de physique quantique avant d'intégrer une faculté de mathématique-informatique, puis une année aux beaux-arts de la ville de Paris. Je suis webdesigner freelance depuis 10 ans.
Je pratique l'aquariophilie depuis 25 ans, je me suis longtemps principalement intéressée aux loricariidés (j'ai un pleco agé de 24 ans) et aux bacs plantés de type hollandais, mais depuis 5 ans je m'intéresse aux vivipares via des souches sauvages, de sélection, ou du commerce.
Je maintiens une souche de skiffia bilineata depuis un peu moins d'un an, et je trouve ce poisson fascinant, ce qui m'a amené à joindre ce groupe afin d'en savoir plus.

I've always loved nature, rivers, animals, among which I grew up. Convinced ecologist and vegetarian for 23 years, I am a militant against testing cosmetics on animals, and the mass use of harmful substances that pollute water such as EDTA or nanoparticles.
I studied biology and quantum physics before joining a school of mathematics and computer science, then spent one year in the school of fine arts of Paris. I've been a freelance webdesigner for 10 years now.
I've practiced the hobby of fish-keeping for 25 years, and for a long time was mainly interested in long loricariidae (I have a 24 year old pleco) and Dutch type planted tanks, but for the last 5 years I've been interested in viviparous through wild strains, selection, or trade. I've been maintaining a skiffia bilineata strain for a little less than a year, and I find it a fascinating fish, which led me to join this group in order to learn more.

Chabeaux Philippe, aquariophile depuis l'age de 11 ans, Cichlidophile dès la première heure cela fait depuis 2000 que je me suis intéressé aux Goodeidae, le premier fut le zoogoneticus tequila depuis cela je consacre 6 bacs pour Ataeniobus toweri, Xenoophorus captivus 'Jesus Maria', Goodea atripinis, skiffia francesae, zoogoneticus quitzoensis.
J'aime bien la conservation des espèces en danger; je maintiens également des Cichlidés du lac Victoria en grand danger également.
Je m'intéresse aux vivipares de formes naturelles et aux Arc-en-ciel membre de l'AFC,de l'IRG et d'un club local

... alias Robert Mambourg, né en 1954, aquariophile depuis 1966, cichlidophile depuis la fin des années '70.
En 1999, je découvre les Goodéidés (Ameca splendens) sur une bourse hollandaise. En 2002, je m'affilie à l'Association France Vivipare et à Poecilia Nederland (j'habite en Belgique, donc entre la France et les Pays-Bas).
J'ai ensuite maintenu diverses espèces de Goodéidés mais n'ai obtenu de succès à long terme qu'avec les espèces les moins délicates, parce que la température de mon locarium ne descend jamais sous les 20° (j'y ai également des bacs à cichlidés, chauffés). Mais ce sont aussi les plus communes... (Ameca splendens, Chapalichthys pardalis, Ilyodon xantusi, Xenotoca sp San Marcos) donc, bien que je ne vende pas mais donne mes jeunes, je ne parviens pas à les diffuser. Conséquences : surpopulation, risques sanitaires. Fin 2011, lassé d'élever des espèces menacées mais de devoir en nourrir des prédateurs pour réguler mes populations, je jette l'éponge et me sépare de toutes mes souches de Goodéidés!
Avec le recul, je réalise que j'aurais dû opter pour des espèces ne réclamant pas trop de fraîcheur et dévorant leurs jeunes si le décor n'est pas assez fourni. J'assiste au congrès GWG/Poecilia Nederland ce 7 septembre, et je réadopte une espèce qui, à mon sens, correspond à ces critères : Xenotoca variata (Jesus Maria). J'acquiers un sachet contenant 2 mâles et 3 femelles (dont 1 gravide) à la bourse aux enchères, dès mon retour, j'isole cette femelle gravide; dans la nuit, elle donne naissance à 7 bébés, tous en forme. Ma population se chiffre donc à 12 individus...

I discover the Goodeids (Ameca splendens) in 1999 on a Dutch aquatic fair. I become a member of Association France Vivipare and Poecilia Nederland in 2002 (I am living in Belgium, between France and Netherlands).
I have tried many Goodeids species, but only had success on the long term with the hardiest ones, because the temperature of my fishroom never sinks under 20° (I have many warm cichlid tanks). But those species are also the most common ones... (Ameca splendens, Chapalichthys pardalis, Ilyodon xantusi, Xenotoca sp San Marcos) So I cannot give my fry away, and I'm coming into trouble (overcrowded tanks). To avoid illness, I have to feed my predatory cichlids with Goodeids fry. At the end of 2011, tired of breeding endangered fishes but to have to kill them, I give all my Goodeids away !
Two years later, I think I should have chosen species that does not need too cool temperatures, and eat their youngsters if there are not enough hiding place. I take part to the GWG meeting on september 7th, and buy a bag with such a species : Xenotoca variata (Jesus Maria), 2 males and 3 females. One female was pregnant and I already have 7 babies. So my population counts 12 fishes (I raise the babies apart).
