A journey to USA and Mexico
In April and May I was at a journey to the ALA-convention in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA and after that a week in Mexico and Morelia. I was travelling with a guy from Norway. At the convention there was several good speeches. For Goodeid-entuiasts especially a speech by Rit Forcier about Goodeids, the different species and how to keep them. This speech was fine, and Rit have done a very good job. Of interest was two speeches of Rebeca Rueda, the former leader of Aqua Lab in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico about some of the experiments with lights and water and temperature made there. In Mexico of course we were visiting the lab and Omar Dominguez, who today is the leader of the place and the work with maintaining the Goodeids. I was visiting some of the places where they are working with Goodeids in semi-natural habitats (like ponds). We also were visiting some biotopes in the states of Michoacan and Jalisco. It was my 4. time in the central Mexico and it is always a very good experience.Aqua Lab to day have its own new website:http://bioumich.wix.com/acuatica/en#This is a few spots from the journey - and I want to say thank you to ALA (American Livebearer Association) as well as to the Aqua Lab and all the guys and girls there :-)In Morelia we was giving the support from Poecilia Scandinavia for 2012 and 2013. All the best wishes from me to all of you :-)Thue
