Very impressive Michael. You seem to get more everytime I hear from you

Does the group have a complete list of all species and strains online. It's getting a little hard to find out the various strains that exist

Hi Shaun,

we have a (nearly) complete list already, not online, but this will change the next week (will have to spend a bit of time with the list to read it over, make a pdf aso; at the moment, it is in excel).

Many thanks to Nigel for doing this!!!!

Cheers, Mike

Fingers crossed that you get a good number of fry from the pregnant female. I note you've lost a few females since you got these fish, and you must be really hoping that you can boost the numbers. I don't envy you the responsibilty you've given yourself with this species.

Good Luck

Thx,

I lost 2 females from ulcus, and 1 male with intestine problems. One very young female came out to be a youg male. Concerning the females, I have 1 heavily pregnant (and isolated) female and the 2 others being pregnant as well as it looks like, but I am not totally sure.

The best way is not to think of it; what happens, happens; you do your best and see what is coming out, not to fear to loose fish makes it easier, but nevertheless, sometimes you can't sleep well. Fortunatelly, Kees has held back some fry, being sexual active meanwhile, so there are some individuals from this strain in the Netherlands as well, makes it also easier to know you are not the last one.

Nevertheless, I have besides the polylepis bred some rare species, and would indeed like to spread them, especially the Allotoca-species, so I would like to give away groups of Allotoca catarinae and meeki in September, zacapuensis as well, at least pairs, and also some of the Allotoca dugesii from a small river Río Santiago (not the big one of the same name!), location is south and close to the Lago de Chapala, and there should be -according last data - no dugesii be alive. Could be one of the last strains in this area...
